Dear Mr. Neyla, I'm in no position to decide on anything either. Maybe I just had the opportunity to be in a secure place (relatively), or let's call it a peaceful place where there is no war, and where we are able to observe the sequence of events.
Ever since the so-called peace process started in the Middle East, I've tried to see whether this arrangement would result in resolving peacefully the differences and conflicts in that area.
With no surprise I couldn't see any hint of such global and just solution to that conflict.
I remember reading the ex-prime minister of Israel (Rabin) writing about israeli peace strategy, and I retained the following: "The Israeli know-how and technology combined with Egyptian labor and Gulf states money will make of the region one of the most advanced area in the world".
I understood from that (me who pretends that I understand Israeli mind through observing loby groups here)Israel is neglecting completely Jordanians, Lebanese, Palestinians, Syrians and Iraqis.
Jordanians because Israel probably wants the final solution of Palestinian problem to be on Joradn back.
Lebanese because Israel wants to put out of the way a real financial and touristic competitor, and doesn't want Lebanon to claim a solution for palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon within any peace agreement.
Palestinians because Israel doesn't want to give them back their land and their rights.
Iraqis because of their demographic and financial potential to become a really competitive and advanced country.
Syrians because of also refugee camps.
If you look at the Middle East today, you can see that Israel has almost achieved its goal with an unconditionnal and full support from US administration.
Maybe I have a wide immagination, but so far I have no other explanation of what's happening in that part of the world.
