Hello Folks,
I am curious to know...why all this resentment towards Hafez Al-Assad and none towards Israel. After all, who is the active killer in Lebanon currently destroying our land, people, and eating away at the remaining remnants of the war era? I am not saying that Hafez is "Prince Charming", however, what I would like to see is the other factor (Israel) included in your solution equation. Is that fair to ask?? Hafez Al-Assad's days are numbered (ailing health etc..) and I think he is willing to join the others at the peace table once Netan"Yahoo" loses this election. Their will be a resumption of the peace talks between Israel and Syria sooner than you think. It is sad that Lebanon has been the bargaining chip for the two countries for many years now but how would you resolve this crisis taking into consideration the Resistance, Israel, and Syria as it stands. Their are many suggestions from both muslims and christians both here and abroad in resolving this interminable occupation dilemma, but one thing is for sure, they stand on common ground agreeing that the Israeli's must abide by and fulfill Resolution 425. Beginning with the Lebanese government and stretching to the Lebanese citizen, this clause must be enforced prior to any negotiations. Israel has stalemated each and every resolution set forth by the U.N for over twenty one years now. Israel will not understand the meaning of diplomacy as we are witnessing not only with the Lebanese people but with their "give an inch-take a mile policy" they are implementing with the Palestinians. Force is the only language Israel seems to understand through the resistance group-HizbAllah. Israel has been answering dearly in so many ways for shunning all requests to withdraw from Lebanon. It is high time for Israel to cooperate and Assad to comply. Israel and Assad should withdraw from Lebanon and resolve their own dispute among themselves. Lebanon is not a bargaining chip to be used in plating this territorial card game. Long live the resistance, long live a United State of Lebanon.
Please Meditate,
